Joseph J. Klosek's Obituary
On September 11, 2025, Joseph “Joe” Klosek passed away. Joe was a lifelong Baltimore resident, a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School and Loyola College. Loving Son of the late Joseph and Julia Klosek (nee Anzulis). Beloved father of Elizabeth Klosek-Heim (Ryan Heim), grandfather to Maggie and James Heim. Dearest Uncle of Michael Davis, Katherine Klosek, and Kevin and Brian Walls. Joe was preceded in death by his brother Victor Klosek, and survived by his siblings Rose Walls (Conrad Walls), Judy Davis (Rick Davis), and Michael Anthony. He leaves behind his former wife, Valerie Watkins, with whom he remained close.
Joe loved Baltimore, its local sports teams, art, and the opera. In addition to his work at the Department of Housing and Community Development, Joe was elected to the Central Committee of the Maryland Democratic Party, and served on the Baltimore City Fair Steering Committee, Aquarium Advisory Board of Directors, and as Vice President of the Baltimore Immigration Museum. He was proud to serve his country through his military service. He will be missed.
A viewing will be held at Charles L.
