For years, Joe Klosek was our neighbor and friend, here, at The Carrollton Condominium in Oakenshawe. When he left, he generously donated furniture for use in our guest rooms. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe's family and friends.

This is Francis (Frank).Tewey, I want to remember Joe and his service to the community of Locust Point. Joe and I shared docent dues at the
Immigration Museum on many days in the 2010s. Joe was friendly and willing to share his knowledge. We often talked of family and community. I am thankful for Joe and his research efforts on the Point. May he rest in peace.
There is an age difference of about 15 yrs between Joe and I. Mom told me a story of Joe who was about 15 yrs old when she was pregnant with me. As a teenager at that time Joe was very embarrassed that his mother was pregnant at her age. Joe was a family man. He was always there when the family got together for birthdays- holidays or just to eat crabs. I have so many memories I’d like to share but I don’t know how much space I have left. So I’ll pick one. A few yrs after Mom died and I was living in Florida I invited my siblings to come for thanksgiving and my brothers, Joe,Michael and Vic came including their daughters Katherine and Liz. Don’t remember where they all slept but it was wonderful. It was a very warm day which none of them were used to at that time of yr. They stuffed themselves with oysters all day. And Rick did a traditional southern deep fried turkey. They were astounded. That’s when Joe dubbed me as the red neck sister. I could go on and on and I’m very blessed to have all those great memories. Rest in peace big brother. I hope you and Viktor are not getting into too much trouble yet. You will always be remembered.
