Frank Gilbert Hubbard, Jr.'s Obituary
On October 11, 2017 Frank Gilbert Hubbard, Jr. Devoted Son of the late Frank G. Hubbard, Sr and Catherine Selma Hubbard (nee Myers) Beloved brother of Gwendolyn Marie Nolte and her Husband John Arthur Nolte of Frederick, MD. Loving Cousin of Carroll Gatlin. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Frank graduated with a master’s degree in music from Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory. His clarinet teacher was the first chair of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Frank is known best for his generosity in helping his neighbors with jobs and gifts of money in time of need.
Trains were his second love the large O gauge trains were on display with a huge layout in his front room. He loved to invite friends into the house to run his trains. He grew up in the Methodist church but spent his adult life at Christ Lutheran Church. He faithfully rang the bells in the large carillon every Sunday they could be heard throughout the harbor area.
Frank thought the Marine Corps Band was the absolute best. Several of his music students were invited to join the band which Frank was extremely proud of.
Funeral Services will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church, 701 S. Charles Street, Baltimore MD 21230 on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Western Cemetery.
