On February 21, 2026, Veronica Marie Shaffer passed away. Beloved wife to the late Charles Shaffer, Jr. Admired mother to Steven Shaffer, Lisa Haley, and husband John. Cherished grandmother to Ryan Haley and Lauren Haley. Treasured sister to Thomas Timms, Kathleen Hoffman, Paul Timms, and wife Alice. Dear sister-in-law of Joyce Holton and husband Raymond, also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Veronica proudly graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame class of 1961 and carried that pride throughout her life. Veronica had many simple joys, such as cooking, baking, playing card games, crafting, and going out to lunch with her family. She always insisted on paying the bill, one of many ways she would show her selfless heart. Veronica’s love and passion for her grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren, were immeasurable. Cheering at Lauren’s soccer games brought her much excitement and pride. She treasured her deep, meaningful conversations with Ryan. As a godly woman, Veronica’s faith guided her actions and her selfless love for others.
