Thomas Edward Bloom's Obituary
Thomas Edward Bloom 61, lifelong resident of Locust Point, Maryland passed away on Saturday November 2, 2019 surrounded by family.
Beloved son of Joann Bloom and the late Thomas M. Bloom Jr. Devoted husband to Terry Bloom, loving father to Laura Rando and husband Matthew, Sarah Jones and husband Chris and to the late Leslie Gillespie. He is survived by his siblings: Donna Fronckoski (Michael Thompson), Terry Springston (Randy Springston), William Bloom Sr., Timothy Bloom (Trish Bloom) and Brian Bloom. Loving grandfather (“Pop-Pop”) to Zachary Gillespie, Zoey Duffett, and Mason Jones. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
As a young man he was very active in soccer and baseball where he developed a love for sports. Tom enjoyed a variety of sports but was a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. After graduating from Mount St. Joseph high school Tom went on to have a lifelong career with the International longshoremen Association as a member of checkers local 953. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking and spending time at Bethany Beach with family and friends.
Family invite friends to call at the Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1501 E. Fort Ave, Locust Point, MD 21230 on Friday, November 8th 2019, 3:00pm – 9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1532 E. Fort Avenue, Baltimore MD 21230 on Saturday at 11:00am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
