Sharon Ann Pippin's Obituary
Sharon Ann Pippin, 74, of Hedgesville, WV, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at The Dove House
in Westminster, MD, after a courageous battle with illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 7, 1951, in Baltimore, MD, Sharon was the daughter of the late Filmore and Thelma Miley
(Reckard). She was predeceased by her siblings Richard Leonard and Linda Allen (Miley), her
beloved son, Timothy K. Howard Jr., and her grandson Samuel "JR" Pinkney III
She is survived by her dear husband, Roger Pippin; her devoted children Patricia Lynn Harris (Michael),
Christina Marie Howard (William), Sandra Lee Howard (Lynn), Tracey Ann Pinkney (Samuel), and Christopher “Troy” Howard, her devoted stepson Matthew Pippin (Jennie), her loving brother Filmore Edward Miley, Jr. (Celeste) ; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren—including James Guthrie IV and Earl Wearnes III, whom she raised as her own. Sharon’s fierce love and steady presence made her the the family's its protector, nurturer, and above all else the queen of the family.
Sharon was raised in Baltimore, where she developed the infectious humor, warmth, and irrepressible
spirit that defined her life. Known for her quick wit, perfectly timed pranks, and ability to make anyone
laugh until they cried (or until they peed), she brought life and laughter to every room she entered.
Her home was always open—hosting everything from everyday meals to weddings—and was a place of
comfort and joy for many.
A lifelong Ravens fan and proud matriarch, Sharon built her family with strength, grace, and grit. She
raised six children, on her own, before marrying Roger in 1996 and continuing to provide for
generations to come. Her loyalty was unshakable. Her love was unconditional.
Even in her final weeks, Sharon’s spark never dimmed. She was, and will always be, the glue that held
her family together—a woman of rare authenticity, deep generosity, and radiant soul. Her legacy lives
on in every laugh shared and every memory cherished.
A public viewing and service will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1501 E.
