Peter J. Bianca, Jr. (70) lifelong resident of Locust Point passed away on March 29, 2020 after several years’ struggle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved son of the late June L. and Peter J. Bianca Sr. Devoted husband of Helen Marie (nee Lambert). Loving father of Anthony Bianca and husband Michael, Bridget Owens and husband Karl, Aileen Stauffer and husband Andrew. He is survived by his siblings: Angelo Bianca and wife Tina, Sandra Mack, Rose Bianca and partner Walt Kalinski, and Gino Bianca and wife Sonje. Beloved brother in-law of Robert “Bob” Lambert and his wife Mary Sue. Dear grandfather of Ashley Owens, Andrew Owens, and James Stauffer. Pete was a kind, intelligent, loving man and was a teacher and church staff member. He taught middle school English and, after he retired, worked as an administrator at Our Lady of Good Counsel, the church his family has called “home” for at least six generations. Pete was very dedicated to his Parish and community. He served on the OLGC Parish Council and OLGC/CCS School board numerous times. You would always find Pete at every Mass greeting parishioners, setting up the altar, taking up the collection or doing whatever needed to be done. He led his life based on his strong Catholic faith and the love of family and one another.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1532 E. Fort Avenue, Baltimore MD 21230 on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 10:00am. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the church will only allow 100 people in the church, seating will be restricted to every other pew. The church will have overflow seating in the church basement. The family will be having a private committal of service in glen haven cemetery later that afternoon. Due to restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, family will invite friends to gather for a celebrate of Pete’s life at a later date.
