Mary Jo Laverick's Obituary
Mary Jo Laverick, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday July 29, 2014
at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore after
battling a sudden illness. Born June 28, 1953 as Mary Jo DeWit,
Devoted Mother of Eric J. Laverick and his Wife Elizabeth of Baltimore,
Tara C. Laverick of Mount Airy, and the late Lisa M. Laverick of
Mount Airy. Loving Sister of Donald DeWit, Margaret “Peggy” Kooper and
the late Bobby DeWit. Dear Sister In-Law of Robert Kooper, Carol DeWit
and Charlene Valadez. Beloved Grandmother of Tyler, Connor and Molly
Laverick. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
She enjoyed gardening, her cats, spending time with her grandkids, and
music. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary
Roman Catholic Church, 2700 E. Baltimore Street, Baltimore MD 21224 on
Saturday August 2nd at 10:00am. Family invite friends to The Grunwald
Club 2825 O’Donnell Street Baltimore MD 21224 immediately following
memorial service for a light reception. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church c/o Mary Jo
Laverick Fund, 2638 E Baltimore St, Baltimore, MD 21224
