Though I never had the privilege of meeting Miss Mary personally, her light shines brilliantly through her son Alan when he speaks of her. It is clear how much she was cherished and adored by many and how greatly she was will be missed. Sadly, the greater the love, the greater the loss but how tragic the alternative would be. I am glad for my friend and his family that they had the love of this remarkable woman for as long as they did. Rest in peace, Miss Mary and God Bless.
So sorry for your loss . Mary was a fun living amazing woman who we loved dearly .We feel blessed to have had her in our lives , and this also goes for you Paul . Although we were so sad ,when we think of Mary, we picture her as laughing . My relationship with Mom/Mary began when I was 18. I was welcomed into her family as her son's girlfriend, then wife, and time marched on through life changes. We have shared so many memories and over the years we shared happy times, sad times, time apart, time together and it was always important. I would visit her often after I left Baltimore- always bringing her her favorite goodies and she would always say, "you know I shouldn't have this but get me a plate". Glad I could make her happy with such simple things. That is how she was. We would share the ongoing saga of of our favorite soap opera- The Young and Restless in person on on the phone several times a week. She would save magazines for me and when I did get to pick them up in person, I would get the "scoop" in the mail. I loved those packages. Without her, I would not have the greatest gift in my life- her granddaughter Lana.
