Ken "Porky" Seeling Sr.'s Obituary
Ken Seeling Sr., lovingly known as “Porky or Pork Chop”, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2025. Beloved husband for over 20 years to Jo Ann Seeling (Jo Jo). Cherished son to Mary Jane Seeling (Polly) and the late Ray Seeling Sr. (Hoss). Treasured brother of Ray Seeling Jr.(Carol), Wanda Thomas (George), Doug Seeling Sr. (Jeannette). Devoted father to Ken Seeling Jr. (Kenny and Sarah) and step-father to John Shade (Johnny and Laney) and the late Christopher Shade (Chris and Amberly). Loving grandfather to Colton, Kenzie, Olivia, Jayden, and Julian. Proud uncle to Gretchen, Adam, Laura, Dougie, Eric, Monica, Kiersten and great uncle to 4 nieces and 6 nephews. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
Ken was always a bright light in any room with his big contagious laugh, crazy ways, and huge loving heart. He started creating some of the best memories for many of his close friends and family at a young age and shared that same joy with those close to him throughout his entire life. He was an extremely hard worker who knew how to get things done and took pride in doing them with precision and care. The construction industry was his passion and his top-of-the-line work showed that.
He loved spending time at home with Jo Jo and “working” around the house, spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports, taking trips to the beach to dig his toes in the sand and get some sun, cooking some of the best meals, and “kicking back” with an ice cold bud light to watch a game. He will be best remembered as the man who would do anything for his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. Life simply won’t be the same without him as we are forced to “Turn the Page”.
Visitation will be held at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home on Saturday, May 3rd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm concluding the visitation. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 2:00 pm at the VFW (425 E. Fort Ave).
