Birth date: Feb 21, 1949 Death date: Feb 10, 2014
On February 10, 2014 JR Massey Dear friend of Brian E. Wood. Loving Brother of Roger Massey. Loving Cousin of Eva Grimes. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Family invite friends to call at the Charles L. Stevens Read Obituary

Darlene & I bowled with JR for several years; starting about twenty years ago. He was they type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if asked. Jr was very generous; always treating us to great meals at Dover Downs or Delaware Park. He would never let us retaliate; he just enjoyed giving. You could have never asked for a nicer friend.
We will sure miss JR; he would call us at least three times a month worrying about how we were. I have relatives that do not check up on us as much as JR did. We will surely miss those phone calls; and since he passed I still check the answering machine looking for his messages.
God Bless you JR; and rest in peace; we will surely miss you! LOVE......Darlene & John Milleker
It was a privilege to have known you, JR. I appreciated your co-worker Fran for introducing us knowing we had gambling in common, specifically slots. We had great times at Delaware Park and Dover Downs. JR always got us the greatest track side rooms for Nascar weekend. Brian, I will miss that as I know you will too. Hope it helps to know that God is holding your loved one in His arms and holding you in His heart.
Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Anna McCleary

I was so sad to hear about your passing. I still have the silver dollars your father gave me for each A I made in first grade. Your cousin,

My dearest JR, you were the best co-worker/friend anyone could hope for. You me and Jen... we were a great administrative team! We were so OCD that we drove each other and lots of others crazy, and I loved every minute of it. My best fun memory was when you, Anna and I went to Dover... what fun was that. I will miss you so much and pray for those you left behind. I know you are in a better place, with no more pain or discomfort.... playing the big slots in the sky!!! Drop a few for me.
I'm so grateful we re-established communications that had became lost over time. I'm sadden that we no longer will be able to reminisce of fond family memories.
