I met Joe in 9th grade in Southern High school in homeroom, Joe was an honorable fella, we always got along and never had any confrontations, and he was always dressed nice. We always spoke whenever we seen each other even after we got out of school. He passed a year before I even saw it on Stevens. The last time I seen Joe it was on the circulator bus, he was telling me about Locust point now and how he grew up there and things are changing. Joe gave me an example of sitting on his friend's steps and a police lady tried or made him leave and he was sharing with me for support of what he was going through, then he brought up about how they took the South Baltimore Little League carnival away and we talked about how that took away where us that are still here would get together and see each other, and the carnival also paid for uniforms and upkeep of fields. When we were getting off the bus I went to shake his hand, and he said no give me a hug. That was the last time I saw Joe and whenever it's my time, don't remember me, remember Jesus. - Eldon Vines
