John "Tom" Thomas Shaw Esq.'s Obituary
On Monday, April 19, 2021, John Thomas Shaw (Tom) beloved son of the late Walter and Libby Shaw (nee Kemmer) loving husband of Cynthia (nee Eschenbach) and father of Elissa Shaw-Warren (Jeremy Warren) and devoted brother-in-law of August C. Goeller and Helen
Goeller (Eschenbach) and Walter C. Eschenbach, Jr (Skipper) and loving companion of Danielle, Wolf and Inky passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long illness. He is survived by many family members and friends.
Born May 25, 1944 at South Baltimore General Hospital. He attended Our Lady of Good Counsel grammar school and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School in June 1963. He attended University of Baltimore and graduated in 1967 with a Liberal Arts Degree. While
working full time as an adjuster for Travelers Insurance he graduated from University of Baltimore and was awarded his Juris Doctorate in 1973. He later established his law practice
and worked there until he retired in 2020.
Tom enjoyed music and played saxophone in a rhythm and blues band, The Rhythmaires, in the 1960’s. He also loved animals and assisted his wife Cynthia with animal rescue.
Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 East Fort Ave Baltimore, Md 21230 on Saturday May 1, 2021 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions everyone entering the funeral home will be required to wear a mask. Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at 11:00AM.
