On Sunday, May 26, 2024, John “JP” Powell passed away. Beloved husband of Renee Powell. Treasured son of the late John and Betty Powell. Cherished father of Nicole Graffious and husband Coe, and Dreama Powell. Loving uncle of Paul Powell, Jr. and many other nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Paul Powell, Sr., Laura Wagner, the late Ernest Powell, the late Robert Powell and the late Linda Powell. Loving grandfather of Sianna Bartenfelder and fiance Joey, Kaine Graffious, Marvin Smith, Derek Smith, Megan Smith and Dustin Smith. Great grandfather of AJ, Kaydence, Jaxon, Grayson, Lillianna, Bryson, Liam and Valley. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
JP was well loved and loyal. He loved hunting, the Eastern Shore, riding his bike and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a proud and dedicated member of the NAFB and loved by all his brothers. His loved ones will remember him as the rock of the family and always being there to help with no questions asked.
The Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue Locust Point, MD 21230 on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to the funeral home.
