John W. Bentley Jr.'s Obituary
John William Bentley, Jr. Died Suddenly on April 24, 2014. John was born March 13, 1967. Raised in South Baltimore and attended Catholic Community Middle School and later graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School, Class of 1985. John Proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force he continued to serve his country as a member of the National Guard. John was a resident of Pasadena and currently works for the Department of Defense. John was always known for his great personality and quick wit. In his spare time he liked to Collect Military Memorabilia, and Baseball Cards. He was a member of the Curtis Bay Athletic Club. He was a Maryland Terps Basketball fan. John also loved Ravens Football and of course Orioles Baseball. John traveled the world during his time in the service but to sum it up in his own words as he would often say “But I’m just a kid from South Baltimore”.
John was survived by his Beloved Wife Beth A. Bentley (Nee Knight) Devoted Father of Scott W. and Rachel E. Bentley. Devoted Son of Mary Ellen Bentley and the late John W. Bentley, Sr. Loving Son In-Law of Janet Knight and the late Kenneth Knight. Loving Brother of Lisa Ryan. Dear Brother In-Law of Roland and Deborah Adkins, Richard Knight, and Mike Ryan. Also survived by other loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Family invite friends to call at the Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue, Locust Point MD 21230. On Monday and Tuesday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Wednesday at 9:00am. Interment with Military Honors at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
