On February 6, 2026, Joan “Joanie” Hadaway passed away. Devoted daughter to Beverly Mburnette and husband the late John and the late Earl Hadaway. Dear mother to Josh Dema and wife Valerie, and Chelsea Hadaway. Beloved sister to Earl “Bo”, Kurt, Kelley, Derek, and Stephanie. Cherished grandmother to Cloey, Coldin, Hardin, and Lilliana and survived by many other relatives and friends.
Joanie was a true Baltimore girl, and loved living in South Baltimore. You could always find Joanie enjoying the Baltimore night life. Nice, friendly, bubbly are just a few words to describe Joanie. She was always smiling and known to be a fire cracker that never let the world keep her down.
The Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue Locust Point, MD 21230 on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm at the funeral home concluding the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards the funeral cost.
