On Wednesday, December 8, 2021 James Hughes. Devoted husband of Diana Hughes. Treasured father of James Hughes and his wife Susan, and Melissa Sedenka and her husband Edward. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca and Rachel Ballinger, and Joseph, Richard, Thomas, Jack, and Nora Hughes. Dear brother of William “Bill” Hughes, Bridget McKenzie, Mary Alt, and the late Dorothy Martin, Erlene Knapp, Nora McCormick, Richard Hughes, Jr., and Charles Hughes. Also survived by many other family and friends.
The Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue Locust Point, MD 21230 on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday December 13, 2021 at 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1532 E. Fort Avenue, Locust Point, MD 21230. Interment will be private. Due to COVID-19 restrictions everyone entering the funeral home will be required to wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel, The Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice in honor of James.
