James Walter Guthrie III, "Gumby"'s Obituary
On Wednesday, July 6, 2022 James Walter Guthrie, III, “Gumby”. Beloved son of Clara E. Guthrie and the late James W. Guthrie, Jr. Cherished father of Joshua “Josh” Jacobs, James “Jimmy” Guthrie, IV, Holly Locklear, Alysha Guthrie and Samuel “Sammy” Guthrie. Dear brother of Melissa Guthrie. Loving grandfather of Jazla Larkins and LeAnne. Also survived by his loving Baby Mama's, and many other loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving relatives and friends.
James was a devoted housing coordinator and house manager at Second Chance II, a substance abuse and mental health facility. James was known for more than his title at work, he handled numerous things in the office and he was truly an asset to his team.
The Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue Locust Point, MD 21230 on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 8:30pm at the funeral home concluding the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards funeral expenses.
