James Carl Garner "Curly"'s Obituary
Suddenly on July 30 2015 James Carl Garner better known to his friend as Curly passed away at his current home in Carroll County, MD, formerly of South Baltimore. Curly was born in South Baltimore and loved living there for 75 years. He was a frequent visitor at the Southside and had great regard for Stuart, his staff and his many neighborhood friends. Curly was the Son of the late John Edgar Garner and Mary Alice Garner (nee Wade). Beloved Husband of the late Shirley Kay Garner (nee Warfield). Cherished Brother of Mary Celeste Kennedy, John Edgar “Reds” Garner, Jr., Bernadette Mathews and her Husband Charles Sr., Shirley Garner, Thomas C. Wade Jr. and his Wife Marty, Betty Wade-Sass and her Husband Joseph. Loving Step Father of Sandra Warfield-Ruff and her Husband John and Deborah Robertson. Also survived many loving Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, of whom he was so proud. He was also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Family invite friends to call at the Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue, Locust Point MD 21230 on Monday 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11:00am. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Family request in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hope for the Warriors program, 5101C Backlick Road, Annadale, VA 22003 they can also donate online at www.hopeforthewarriors.org
