James Edward Barcroft's Obituary
On Monday, June 10th 2024, James Edward Barcroft passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan Barcroft and is survived by the following: his daughter, Brigitte Cooper and her husband Doug, his grandchildren Abby and Owen Cooper, his sister Mary Granger and husband Donald, his brother Henry Barcroft and wife Connie, mother to his daughter, Janeene Norris, his niece Debbie Morris, his step grandson Matthew Praglowski, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Steve Barcroft, Robert Barcroft and wife Yvonne, Wallace Barcroft and wife Charlotte, stepdaughter, Katrina Helmick.
James was a proud employee of Domino Sugar for 30+ years, active in the VFW, and a natural comedian who loved to make people laugh. He loved to play the lottery, drink his beer, especially Natty Bo, and he loved his sweets with a special liking for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. James was an avid walker, and walked to visit local bars, his two of choice being Southside and the VFW. In the last year of his life he loved to shop at Roses and kept himself busy with house and yard maintenance. Above all, James loved his family and his dogs and he will be deeply missed by them all.
