Hurshell was "Snoopy" to my kids, Abi (11) and Emma (9) -- "Joe Cool" and totally awesome, generous, and real in every way. He was my sister, Aunt Jenny's best friend and life partner. I would venture a guess that most people go through their days and years without knowing what it's like to be with someone that you laugh until you cry with (or cry until you laugh) ... someone who completes your sentences and calls or shows up at just the right times. Hurshell and Jenn shared this profound gift. As devastating as this unexpected loss is to Hurshell's family and friends and my Sister, the thought that Hurshell is riding a Harley in Heaven with his beloved Dad and looking down with gratitude to those who are honoring him in such beautiful ways, gives me some peace and a lot of Hope. You ROCK, Hurshell. Thank you for loving my sister. You made a difference. We'll see you again someday.
Love, The Kerrs (Chris, Melissa, Abi, and Emma)
