George E. Grant's Obituary
On April 28, 2026 George E. Grant passed away. Beloved husband of Jo Ann Grant. Devoted son of the late Catherine and the late Sonny Tester. Dear grandson of the late Anna and the late George Runk. Cherished father to Bella Grant and Gabby Grant. Treasured brother of Patty Grant, Tommy Grant and wife Sharie, Cassie Higgins and husband Scott, Michael Tester, and the late Denny “Skippy” Collins and wife Aida. Admired nephew of David Runk and wife Mary, Donna Hammell and husband the late Mike, Alfred Runk and wife Theresa, the late Carl Runk and wife the late Joan, and the late Joe Runk and wife Chip. George was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
George found joy in many things in life from a day out golfing, time spent on the water, skiing, or just firing up the grill for family and friends. A true Baltimorian, he was a fan of the local teams the Ravens and Orioles, and he was known to travel to see his favorite team. George appreciated a good glass of bourbon, a Bloody Mary, or even the perfect Coke from McDonald’s. He took great pride in his meticulously well kept lawn, but above all he cherished his family. Nothing made him happier than when his family and his extended family gathered for parties.
George was a loving and caring person that everyone could count on, he had your back, and would listen no matter what. George was the person that lit up the room. All that knew him agreed: not a single person had a bad word to say about him. Beautifully stated by a loved one, “He wasn't the life of the party, but the one you’d look for when you got there.”
The Family invites friends to call at Knights of Columbus Hall - Council #4606 1338 Hull Street, Locust Point, , on Friday, May 1 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
