Eugene Anthony Dore's Obituary
On July 21, 2023, +Eugene Anthony "Gene" Dore passed-away peacefully at his home in Ocean City, Maryland. He was surrounded by family members and loved ones when he died.
+Gene was the dear widowed husband of the late +Carolyn Marie (née Winterling) Dore. He was the devoted father of Michael Dore and his wife Patricia, Friar Timothy Dore OFM Conv., Nancy Bruchman and her late husband +Douglas, Kelly Sheehan and her husband Toby, Tracy Sies and her husband Richard Jr. and Patricia Jackson and her husband Michael. Loving brother of Mary Ann Dore Spalt, and the late M. Thomas Dore and late F. Joseph Dore. Loving Grandfather of Hannah Schaefer and her husband Jeffrey, Christian, Caroline and Benjamin Bruchman, Luke, Carina, Jack and Patrick Sheehan, Audrey, Matthew, Kate and Abigail Sies, and Madison, Riley and Piper Jackson. Devoted Great-Grandfather of Zoe and Leo Schaefer. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
+Gene’s family invites friends to call at the Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. (1501 E. Fort Avenue, Locust Point MD 21230) on Sunday, August 13, 2023, 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Monastery Church (3801 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, Maryland, 21229), on Monday, August 14th, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial Mass (with cremains) at St. Luke's Church (9903 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, Maryland, 21842) on Saturday, November 4th, at 10:30 a.m.
INTERMENT: Will take place immediately after the Memorial Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sussex County, Delaware (32112 Vines Creek Rd, Dagsboro, DE, 19939).
+Gene was a very proud graduate of the Calvert Hall College High School Class of 1956.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in his name may be made to Calvert Hall's "La Salle Endowment Fund" This program supports students with diagnosed learning differences (8102 Lasalle Rd, Towson, MD 21286).
