Miss Liz was one of the best people I have known. Kind, gentle, generous and humble. No one entered her house without being offered a kind word, a smile and something very good to eat and drink. Her soft crab sandwiches bettered anything in a four star restaurant in New York and it was accompanied, always, with questions about how you, and your family members, by name, were doing. Miss Liz was a character genius, a family phrase I learned from Tom and Gary. She knew the right thing to do and she always did it, and never called attention to her own countless acts of grace, compassion, but always found time to celebrate the goodness of others. Miss Liz, we love you and will miss you.
