Edward John Schoeberlein's Obituary
On May 29, 2025 Edward John Schoeberlein passed away. Beloved son of Dorothy Schoeberlein, and the late David Schoeberlein. Cherished brother of David and wife Marsha, Patricia and husband Wayne, Dorothy and husband Chuck, Joseph, Annette and husband Larry. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Edward's life was deeply rooted in his unwavering devotion to his mother, for whom he served as a dedicated caregiver. His passions extended beyond his familial responsibilities, most notably in his love for music. A talented musician, Edward owned six guitars and a collection of recording equipment, which he used to create and share his music. He found joy in performing at local establishments.
Beyond his musical pursuits, Edward's affection for animals of all kinds was apparent, especially his love for dogs and cats. His enjoyment of nature beyond animals was shown in his love of off-grid camping throughout Maryland. A reliable van served as his companion on his camping trips, being a veteran of the United States Air Force and in a testament to his generous spirit, he later donated it to the Veterans Administration, seeking to assist those who had served their country like he did.
Edward was known for his inherent desire to share with others, particularly those in need. His compassionate nature led him to consistently extend a helping hand wherever possible. In the later years of his life, Edward's faith deepened, becoming a guiding force in how he lived and loved. His journey was marked by dedication, creativity, a love for the natural world, a deep compassion for others, and a growing spiritual connection.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made to the Veterans Administration.
