Dorothy June Upperman's Obituary
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Dorothy June Upperman passed away. Beloved wife of John Upperman, Sr. Loving daughter of the late Cora Prettyman and the late George Gue. Cherished mother of John F. Upperman, Jr. and wife Sue, Paul V. Upperman, Charles E. Upperman and wife Kathy, Billy J. Upperman and wife Joanne, George S. Upperman and partner Mark Hartman, and Mary E. Gross and fiance the late Edward Young. Treasured sister of Ellen “Babe” Hurd. Also survived by 13 grandkids, 33 great-grandkids, 3 great-great-grandkids.
Dorothy moved to South Baltimore young, raised her kids there, and was married to her husband, John, for 67 years. She worked at Medo the air freshener factory for over 40 years, enjoyed playing the lottery, and above all, Dorothy loved her family. Her husband, kids and grandkids were her everything. She always put everyone else first, especially her family. Dorothy will be remembered for her strength, honesty and big heart.
The Family invites friends to call at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1501 E. Fort Avenue Locust Point, MD 21230 on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home. Interment to be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
