Donald Floyd Jackson's Obituary
On December 14, 2018 Donald Floyd Jackson Beloved son of the late Floyd D. Jackson and Catherine Elizabeth Jackson (nee Wieber). Loving grandson of the late Alverta V. Wieber. Beloved brother of Ruth Ann Paddock and her husband Vernon and Cathy E. Cohen and her fiancé Terry Huffine. Dear uncle of Ted Donald Olson, Catherine C. Olson, Keith A. Cohen and Kevin M. Cohen. Dearest nephew of the late Eleanora Sawyer and Mary Thomas. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friend.
Don grew up and lived in the Locust Point neighborhood of Baltimore all his life. He had fond memories growing up in Locust Point, of his mother and father who worked at Bethlehem Steel as a ship painter in the Inner Harbor. Don enjoyed walking down to Fort McHenry and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being with his father and sisters at the local boat club where they spent time crabbing near the fort. Don worked at B. Green & Co. for many years.
After the death of his father, Don had a strong friendship of his dad’s best friend, Herbert M. “Milton” Sass. He loved Milton just like he was his own father. Don’s hobby was the music he grew up with during the 50’s and 60’s especially listening to Elvis and Frankie Avalon. He had a passion of listening to his music. May he rest in peace but he’ll be having too much fun spending time with Elvis talking about music.
A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Cemetery, 7215 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie MD 21061 on Wednesday at 1:00pm. Arrangement by Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home, Inc.
