Suddenly, on Monday, March 18, 2023, David Joseph Schoeberlein (“Dave”), of South
Baltimore, passed away at the age of 72.
Dave was born and raised in Locust Point, Baltimore City, to David Schoeberlein and Dorothy
(Alexander) Schoeberlein. As a child, he joined the Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle Scout at
14 years of age. He later became an Assistant Scoutmaster in troops 649 and 749, leading

Dave was a man of simple pleasures, who loved fishing, history, travel, and most of all,
spending time with his family. Dave loved Christmas, decorating the house inside and out and
setting up a train garden for his grandchildren. He was a loyal friend and neighbor who assisted
anybody who needed help or advice on any range of things from home repairs to math
Homework.
