My sincere condolences to the wonderful clan of Carolyn Dore.
Dear dear Mrs. Dore was so easy to love. Nursing her at St. Joseph's has been such an honor. Even with her illness, we shared that lovely "nursing sisterhood" feeling.
In her early time at the Home, I could ask "Nurse Dore" to assist with sitting next to another Resident who needed a comforting presence, or watch as she bared her sweet smile, or gave her little "chuckle" to a staff member who was having a tough day. Always she happily obliged, as that sense of caring and living in a compassionate way never left her, despite the challenges her health presented.
I also treasure the time spent with her fine family, especially in the last part of her earthly journey. Thanks to each of you for your loving kindness. It is hard to let go of such rich energy that a person like Mrs. Dore holds, but fortunately all of you carry on her legacy, so her giving spirit shall continue to nurse others along this spiky path called "Life".
Bless the memory of her, and please know she made a difference in my life as a nurse and a person.
All the best, to the best,
Christine Green RN
