“There are not enough words to say how truly wonderful Charles L. Stevens Funeral Home was when we reached out to them after the loss of both mom and dad. The Doda family has always felt like family and at both appointments with Victor III, the first with Dad planning Mom's funeral in January of 2023, and the second with my brother planning Dad's funeral in August of 2023 it felt no different. Both times Victor made my family and me feel like family and not just like clients. Their facility is very clean, and inviting and gives a home-like setting. Everyone was very respectful and professional from beginning to end and it helped make a difficult time easier and more bearable to get through. They helped us all through the mourning and loss process by celebrating mom's and dad's lives with the dignity they deserved. Everyone at Charles L. Stevens were amazing and at a time when we were stricken with grief and pain from the loss of our parents, they loved us and cared for us as if we were family giving us peace of mind and closure. I highly recommend the funeral home as they go the extra mile to make a difficult time easier to manage. I can't thank you enough Victor III and company! We love you! ”

“My Mother Josephine M. Lanasa passed away on 11 03 22. She was the best human being I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Although everyone was respectful as possible, the fact that I had to carry my mother out of her own house because of the ineptitude of the 2 people sent to retrieve her body. She weighed 135 lbs I myself as her sole surviving Son had to physically remove her body myself. While in shock of my loss, I had to carry my mother out myself. Its something that must be brought to attention. Although the service went well and I do appreciate the employees that did the best they could, I am obligated to post on this fact. I do not think it should be the sole surviving sons responsibility to carry his deceased mother into a van. Just to be told we are sorry and have someone explain to you that he is sorry and needs to put food on his table. That is completely the wrong time and wrong place for that statement. Please think about who you hire to carry someone's loved one to the van, at that time it should not fall on her son. Sincerely Joseph A. Lanasa.”
