Gail M. Rice

February 13, 1944 - January 21, 2022

Gail graduated from Pitman High School, NJ and Lebanon Valley College, PA. She worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance for 30 years and then the Maryland State Insurance Commissioner as Senior Examiner up until the time of her death. She was very dedicated to her work and enjoyed the many interactions and relationships of her coworkers. She excelled in the Insurance Industry achieving many professional designations. Her interests included cooking, gardening, art, opera, theatre and travel. Gail especially enjoyed her trips to Europe, Russia, China, Haiti. A lover of coastal areas she regularly visited St. Simons, GA, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Delaware Gail treasured her high school friends and attending their reunions, social outings. She enjoyed spending time and visiting her many friends along with her life long friend, Judie. As a resident of Baltimore, Maryland for over 35 years, Gail greatly enjoyed the community and valued her neighbors and friends. She devoted much of her time caring for her beloved Corgis over the years. Gail is survived by her sister Dianne Rice. Arrangements are being handled by Charles L Stevens Funeral Home located at 1501 East Fort Ave in Baltimore, MD, 21230. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Church, 108 E West St, Baltimore, MD 21230. Donations may be made to the Humane Society in Gail's memory.
