I could never emotionally get around to reading these wonderful messages. Dad always said,” life is like a book, and it’s up to you to write the chapters. When you die, the book is finished. Make it worth reading.” Little did he know, the last part of that was wrong. The book wasn’t complete when he passed. The “stories and memories about Speedy that his son never knew about” is still being written. And trust me dad, you made your book worth reading. Love you and miss you every minute of every day.

I only knew Speedy for 4 1/2 years and the first time we met I went to shake his hand and he said to me, "No, I'm a hugger" and we hugged. That was the exact same thing Eric said to me when my daughter, Jen, introduced us. He was the kindest, most loving man I ever met. My heart hurts for Eric, Jen, Jeanne and everyone who loved him. Heaven became a better place the day Speedy passed.

I’ve known Speedy all my life. His mom and mine were good friends. We all went to Patterson Park on a bus every week because Jeannie and I took tap dancing lessons there. My brother Wayne and Speedy always tagged along with us. We all remained friends and now we will miss you forever. You were always a sweet boy and a great man. RIP Speedy, you will make an awesome Angel to watch over your loved ones. So very sorry for your loss Jeannie 💔
