So sorry to hear of Pete passing away . We grew up together in Locust Point . He was an exceptional athlete and a great guy to know ! He and I tended bar together on the corner of Fort Avenue & Andre street formerly called " Perches Place " , which was formerly known as " Bannon's Tavern ", back in the day . A funny story about our bartending days
" Perch Holman ", one of the new owners ,had a live band playing every friday & saturday evening and the place was always packed . Pete and I worked our butts off and got maybe $5.00 in tips to split which was a pittance in those days. One day I had an idea , to pick up some cow bell's in a little novelty store , all different size's small to large . If some one left us a Quarter tip , we would ring the smallest bell over their heads and thanked them . Pretty soon every body was ringing the biggest bell which was worth $ 2.00 or more , and Pete and I were doing great !! We called it , " the miracle of the bell .
                                 Pete will be missed !!!
